All of us at Caring Hands Humane Society would like to extend our gratitude to Duane Buller
and Eli Buller of Unruh-Buller Construction. The Buller family reached out to us recently about
our memorial benches in the garden area outside of the shelter. The benches had deteriorated
to the point they were no longer able to be used and fell apart, after many years of use and
exposure to the elements. We replaced the wooden benches with concrete benches, but we
were having difficulty finding plaques to replace the broken memorial plaques that were once
attached to the old benches. The Bullers graciously offered to help us seek out a replacement of
their own memorial plaque, in memory of their beloved dogs, Rocket, Zeus, and Hera. After
searching actively for a supplier, they determined the best course of action would be to create
the plaque themselves and attach the plaques to the new benches. The Bullers were so kind as to
even create a replacement for the second bench whose plaque was also destroyed.
We can’t say thank you enough for covering this project for us and being such a kind and caring
family. Having supporters like the Buller family makes our day-to-day work brighter.
Have you been to visit us in a while? We’ve made a lot of updates to our facility recently and are
continuing to restore from years of wear and tear. One of our current projects is freshening the
paint on the outside of the building. Come out to see our updated memorial garden and spend
some time inside where it is cool and you can love on some of our adoptable animals. We’d love
to see you!
