We don’t often ask for enrichment items for our cats, but we want to make them more comfortable and stress free! Scratching is a cat’s natural way to de-stress. When a cat scratches, it’s removing the dead outer layer of the cat’s nail that needs to be shed, and it helps them to leave their scent on things. When a cat is able to leave its own scent in his space, he is naturally more comfortable instead of smelling strange scents in his environment.
